Life coaching costs £45 for a 50 minute session. I recommend a minimum of four sessions up to a maximum of 6 sessions in any coaching block. This allows time for us to explore your situation and the options available to you, as well as thinking about the positive steps forward you'd like to take.
Sessions take place weekly or fortnightly at a mutually agreed time. Payment is made before the start of each session but a 10% discount is available if you wish to book and pay for 4 or more sessions in advance. Reduced rates are available to students and those on low income; please contact me for further details.
I also offer one-off coaching sessions of 90 minutes at a cost of £80; this can be helpful if finding time to commit to more regular sessions is difficult.
I’m currently working via Zoom, although depending on your location and mutual agreement, there is the potential for face to face sessions
Life coaching is for anyone aged 18 and over* and the reasons for coming to coaching are many and varied. Some examples might be: feeling ‘stuck’ and unsure how to move forward; wanting to work towards a specific goal/outcome; navigating a transition or change; wanting to have greater satisfaction or fulfilment in an area of your life…the list could go on!
Whilst coaching and counselling share some common elements, there are also some important differences. Life coaching focuses on the client in the here and now: it is present and future focused, whereas counselling often looks to the past to understand the client’s current struggles. A counsellor is trained to work with mental health disorders and to investigate the cause of mental health problems whereas a life coach, although a qualified professional, is not trained to work in those areas and it would be unethical to do so*.
*because coaching is not therapeutic, it isn’t suitable if you’re experiencing poor mental health that is affecting your normal day to day ability to function. Please seek advice from your GP if you are struggling – don’t suffer alone.
